A fibre artist for over 14 years, I now specialize in heliographic printing, also known as sun dyeing, as well as ice, snow and spray dyeing.
By collecting native plants from my gardens and surrounding area I capture the beauty of botanical in my silk scarves. In the winter I turn to ice, snow and spray dyeing to create vibrant, one of a kind hand dyed silk scarves. All of my designs are durable, washable and made to last.
Recently I have experimented with making scarf jewellery and it has been well received by my customers. Not high end, expensive jewellery but sturdily constructed, I have fashioned scarf rings and bales that perfectly match the colours in my scarves. It has allowed my customers to wear both my scarves and jewellery for a finished, customized look.
Born and raised in the Ottawa Valley, I continue to make my home just outside of Deep River, Ontario.
My work is held in national and international private collections.
